There
are two levels of membership:
- Voting
members participate
fully in the activities
of Papa’s Home. They elect,
and can be elected, directors
of the corporation. They
receive regular activity
reports and financial
statements, contribute
suggestions and ideas,
and in other ways participate
in the running of Papa’s
Home as actively as they
wish, and in keeping with
the bylaws of the corporation.
They may also, subject
to the availability of
funds, be invited to participate
in visits to orphanages
as members of the Papa’s
Home team. Everyone who
can do so is strongly
encouraged to become a
voting member, by committing
to an annual contribution
of not less than $200,
a six-monthly contribution
of not less than $100,
or a monthly contribution
of $20. Voting members
who are able to contribute
more than the minimum
amounts indicated above
are encouraged to do so.
-
Non-voting members
make a financial donation
to Papa’s Home without
committing to an annual
contribution. They receive
a copy of the latest annual
report and financial statement.
They may also contribute
ideas and suggestions,
but, under the bylaws,
do not qualify to vote
at any meeting of the
corporation. The amount
of the donation is at
the discretion of the
individual non-voting
member.
-
Churches, corporate bodies,
and other organizations
are particularly welcome
to contribute in cash
or kind to the corporation
and its activities.
